Abstract

Compressive strength, split tensile strength and flexural strength is evaluated of fly ash based as well as slag and fly ash based geopolymer concrete of grade M25 and M45, respectively and the results are compared with corresponding properties of control concrete. Optimum combinations are worked out of unprocessed and processed fly ash as well as unprocessed fly ash and slag to cast the geopolymer concrete mixes of both grades. Slag and fly ash based geopolymer concrete gives better results in terms of mechanical properties as compared to the fly ash based geopolymer concrete as well as control concrete of both the grades.
