Abstract

This poster presents initial findings from a content analysis of ten existing mHealth applications from the Apple App Store to determine the usefulness of features for potential older adult users. The study utilizes a qualitative approach to describe features from each selected mobile application, then a proposed framework is suggested for rating based on existing literature on designing for older adults. The intent of this study is to provide designers with a tool to support universal design principles when designing digital products for older users.
