Abstract

Ten cases of hypophosphatasia have been studied with particular reference to the dental lesions. Dental lesions are prominent in this disease, and consist of hypoplastic deformity, with crowding and early loss of the teeth in both dentitions. The role of phosphatase in the development of the teeth is discussed.
