Abstract

The stability consts. for the formation of 4 mononuclear Sc(III) oxalato complexes have been detd at 20° in an aq. NaClO4 medium with ionic strength 1M. Three different methods were used, viz. solvent extn. with thenoyltrifluoroacetone as the auxiliary ligand, soly. measurements by using Na3Sc(C2O4)3.xH2O as the solid phase, and potentiometric measurements of the H ion concn.
