Abstract

Background: Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) within the IRAK genes have been discovered recently. However, the functions of these IRAK SNPs remain largely unknown. Results: Non-synonymous IRAK2 variant, rs708035, increases NF-β-cellsB activity through promoting TRAF6 ubiquitination. Conclusion: Genetic alteration of IRAK2 affects its regulation on NF-β-cellsB activation. Significance: Our study provides an important insight of IRAK2 SNP in the regulation of NF-β-cellsB activation. © 2014 by The American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Inc.
