Abstract
This article builds bridges between image and text media with the aim of supporting the learning of a foreign language and culture. A combination of photography and language - according to the central thesis - offers great didactic potential in intercultural language teaching for all age groups. The arrangement of several media shows perspectives for a further development of the pedagogical work within the multiliteracy project. To be on trial is not only the question about sustainable learning contents but also the appropriate learning methods.
