Abstract
Wired up to the sun: The first solar cells based on silicon nanowires have been prepared using the p-i-n core-shell concept adopted from amorphous silicon solar cells. These solar cells produce power in the nanowatt range, which is sufficient to drive self-sustaining nanoelectronic circuits. © 2008 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim.
