Abstract

This article aims to show how people, who identify themselves as Gilda fans, through different practices, cooperate in the deceased singer consecration process. Taking into account the emic differentiation between fan and devotee, we shall see how Gilda is inscribed into a differential texture within the dwelling-world, that we can call sacred, from performances that are not easily identify as belonging to the religious sphere. Instead to considering fans' practices as religious metaphors, we consider them as different ways of Gilda consecration.
