Abstract

(Figure presented.) Comparison of conventional and advanced imaging techniques for left atrial appendage closure. Application of different imaging techniques for the visualization of the LAA: Four different modalities (TEE, MSCT, 3D printing, and VR) of 10 patients with indication for LAAC were each reviewed by 10 cardiologists or cardiologists in training. Questionnaires about the patient specific anatomy and the performance of the modality were answered. LAAC—left atrial appendage closure; MSCT—multi-slice computed tomography; TEE—transesophageal echocardiography; VR—virtual reality; LZ—landing zone.
