Abstract

Mechanical measurements done in the reaction bath, near gelation threshold, lead to the following results; - An elastic behaviour, E ∿ ∆pt, with t = 3.2 for polycondensation and t = 2.1 for radical copolymerization. Both t values are higher than the one predicted by 3d percolation theory. - On both systems a viscosity behaviour, n ∿ ∆p−s, with s = O.78 in agreement with 3d percolation theory. © 1981 IUPAC.
