Abstract
Global service-learning in counselor education has evolved across specialty areas and populations served within the global community. Although pedagogy has evolved with the inclusion of different types of courses and research designs (quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods), no study has examined how, and to what extent this evolution has taken place during the 21st century. To address prior limitations and recommendations for further research, a 20-year systematic review was completed.
