Abstract
Foxes are killers, but there is no evidence to suggest that they are a significant problem for UK agriculture. Indeed, agricultural development - the cause of substantial natural habitat destruction - and other changes to our countryside, have bolstered fox populations. Prising apart the myth from the reality produces some surprising facts.
