Abstract
This article is the result of a research that purposed an analysis of peripheral youth's lifestyles in the formation of contemporary resistance forces. We treat the forces that make up an outskirt permeated of marginal productions and also creations, having as the field of analysis and intervention the work carried out by a non-governmental organization which works with the teaching of musical art directed to the young. The survey encompassed institutional experiences in this space, for a period of nine months, making conversations with young people who participate in music workshops and / or act as monitors of the same. The data produced show that among the productions that marginalize the ways of life in peripheral areas, we witnessed the invention of existences that escape from these marginal forces and that, in the encounter with art, consists in minority becomings; more specifically, in the case of this study, peripheral becomings.
