Abstract

Deformation and fracture of rotating nickel-titanium endodontic files is considered to be a serious problem among dentists. Therefore, the study of the causes of microcracks, the study of the stress-strain state of endodontic files, the development of methods for monitoring their performance are an urgent problem for dentistry. The purpose of this article is to describe the method of detection of functional endodontic files, based on the determination of their amplitude-frequency characteristics. A block diagram of the measuring complex for the study of free oscillations of endodontic files is proposed. The results of experimental studies are presented.
