Abstract

This document summarizes the proceedings of a recent summit on CTD-associated ILD attended by a multidisciplinary panel of international clinician-scientists with expertise in CTDassociated ILD. Key clinical aspects are outlined, and a variety of research initiatives are proposed (Table 4) with the aim of addressing the many unmet needs and challenges within the complex intersection between CTD and ILD. Our hope is that further multidisciplinary collaboration around the research into and care of patients with CTD-associated ILD will lead to greater disease awareness, earlier disease detection and diagnosis, implementation of interdisciplinary treatment approaches with novel therapeutic agents, and, ultimately, improved quality of life and outcomes for those who are affected by these diseases.
