Abstract
There are still many traditional fishermen in Indonesia. The limited income of traditional fishermen is in stark contrast to the income of fishermen who already have modern equipment, which are called modern fishermen. The phenomenon in the port area of Tambak Lorok Semarang suggests that there are differences in income from fish catches, which in turn affects the level of welfare of traditional and modern fishermen. Another phenomenon shows that the arrangement of the location of the people's port affects the distribution of fish catches to traditional fishermen and modern fishermen, so that the limited catches of traditional fishermen will increasingly have a decrease in selling value when the fish cargo distribution process is not effective due to the poor arrangement of the people's port system. in accordance. This study was conducted as a follow-up to the curiosity of researchers to conduct an assessment of the differences in fish catches between traditional and modern fishermen, as well as to find out whether the mechanism for structuring the people's port system at the Tambak Lorok port, Semarang has benefited fishermen in the area. The results show that the use of electronic aids affects the income of modern and traditional fishermen. In addition, the mechanism of port arrangement affects the distribution of catches of traditional and modern fishermen.
