Abstract
Ten key sections of the Iskar Carbonate Group (Triassic) in Southwest Bulgaria have been studied in detail, and sampled for conodont and foraminiferal research. The biostratigraphic study covers the Ljubas, Svidol, Mogila, Bosnek, Radomir, Rusinovdel and Tran Formations that cover the chronostratigraphic range from the upper parts of the Spathian Stage to the upper parts of the Norian Stage. The conodont zones Paragondolella regale R.-Z., Paragondolella bulgarica R.-Z., Pridaella cornuta R.-Z., Pridaella excentrica A.-Z. Pridaella bakalovi R.-Z. and the foraminiferal zones Meandrospira pusilla I.-Z., Meandrospira deformata I.-Z., Pilammina densa R.-Z., Turriglomina mesotriasica I.-Z., Paraophthalmidium carpathicum R.-Z. and Miliolipora cuvillieri R.-Z. have been proven. -Authors
