Realizing the Full Potential of Envirothon

Abstract

The author discusses the impact of the Canadian Forestry Association's (CFA) Envirothon program, a high school environmental education competition, on the Canadian Institute of Forestry (CIF). He believes that Envirothon will help address the recruitment challenges facing employers in the forestry, integrated natural resource and land management sectors. He also claims that the program will enable greater standardization and integration with school curricula.
