Abstract
In this research paper we will apply six sigma methodology to shorten the duration of closing c This will be done by going through all stages of six sigma: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and control. First, we will set a duration target for our maintenance requests. And then we will collect data from a real data for three residential projects in order to check whether it can be represented in a curve or a mathematical function to study its behavior (Maintenance requests VS Duration). Then, we will use the generated curve to evaluate the current situation of the maintenance requests by finding the current sigma level and how far are we from targeted sigma level. Then we will check and rank the factors that may cause failure in providing maintenance within targeted duration and how to improve them by proposing practical solutions. Then, we will search for the most suitable control tool to ensure a continuous operation with the same level of quality. Finally, after applying recommended improvements we will monitor the new tickets duration readings and find out if there is any improvement happen.
