A Família Melastomataceae nas Formações Campestres do Parque Estadual do Ibitipoca, Minas Gerais, Brasil

Abstract

-(The family Melastomataceae in the open formations of the Parque Estadual do Ibitipoca, Minas Gerais, Brazil). A taxonomic study of Melastomataceae family in campestrian vegetation of Parque Estadual do Ibitipoca, located in the municipa-lity of Lima Duarte, state of Minas Gerais, between 800-1.784m alt., is presented The main goal of this paper is to increase the knowledge of the taxonomic diversity and cover various floristic aspects of the family in the vegetation types of these altitude. This group is one of the most diversified in the area and it is represented by 10 genera and 28 species: Chaetostoma, Marcetia and Siphanthera (one sp. each); Cambessedesia, Lavoisiera, Microlicia e Trembleya (2 spp. each); Miconia (5 spp.); Leandra e Tibou-china (6 spp. each). An analytical key to the taxa, morphological descriptions and illustrations are presented, besides geographical distribution data and comments of species limits.
