Abstract
A systematic chemical investigation of Coronopus didymus was undertaken. A new flavone glycoside, viz., chrysoeriol-(6″-OAc)-4′-β-D-glucoside, along with free chrysoeriol and stigmastanol, were isolated and characterized on the basis of chemical and spectral studies. The ethanol and aqueous extracts of the whole plant were subjected to anti-inflammatory and wound healing activity studies. Both ethanol and aqueous extracts showed statistically significant wound healing activity, whereas only the aqueous extract showed significant anti-inflammatory activity.
