Educación para el cambio climático

Abstract

This essay aims to analyze the importance of education for climate change, in order to help improve the world situation and preserve the planet so that future generations have a safe and clean place to live. Consequently, a descriptive study of bibliographic review was carried out, systematized through scientific research methods: documentary analysis, hermeneutics and content analysis. Among the main findings are: the recognition of climate change as a phenomenon of the transformation of the state of the climate identifiable in the variations of the mean value of temperature and/or in the variability of the properties of the climate during long periods of time, generally decades or longer periods; the main cause of climate change is given by the irresponsible and predatory action of human beings. Among the main effects are the increase in temperatures, desertification, increase in meteorological phenomena, the extinction of species of fauna and flora. At a global level, measures have been taken to combat the causes and mitigate the effects of climate change, but the best measure is to educate the population and in particular the new generations.El presente ensayo tiene como objetivo analizar la importancia de la educación para el cambio climático, en aras de contribuir a mejorar la situación del mundo y preservar el planeta para que las futuras generaciones tengan un lugar seguro y limpio donde poder vivir. En consecuencia, se realizó un estudio descriptivo de revisión bibliográfica, sistematizado mediante los métodos científicos de investigación: análisis documental, hermenéutico y análisis de contenido. Entre los principales hallazgos se significan: el reconocimiento del cambio climático como un fenómeno de la transformación del estado del clima identificable en las variaciones del valor medio de la temperatura y/o en la variabilidad de las propiedades del clima durante largos períodos de tiempo, generalmente decenios o períodos más largos; la principal causa del cambio climático está dada por la acción irresponsable y depredadora de los seres humanos. Entre los efectos principales están el aumento de las temperaturas, la desertización, incremento de los fenómenos meteorológicos, la extinción de especies de la fauna y la flora. A nivel global se han tomado medidas para combatir las causas y mitigar los efectos del cambio climático, pero la mejor medida es educar a la población y en particular a las nuevas generaciones.
