Abstract

Based on an in-depth survey of the literature, the purpose of the paper is to explore the relationship between smartphone addiction risk, depression psycho-pathology, and social anxiety. Using and replicating data from The Center for Internet and Technology Addiction, Insights West & iamota, Pew Research Center, and YouGov, we performed analyses and made estimates regarding problematic smart-phone use severity. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling.
