Abstract

Abstract � The SIL seismic system was designed and installed in theSouth Iceland Lowland in 1989�1990and was fully operational in automatic mode in June 1991. In 1994the system was expanded to the northeasternpart of Iceland and has been gradually covering larger parts of Icelandsince 1996.
