Abstract
Optimizing free-from shapes of photonic nanostructures is a high-dimensional problem. We present a Bayesian optimization algorithm with a hyper-parameter learning routine. We apply the algorithm for optimizing the shape of a reflecting meta-surface. The algorithm exhibits efficient performance.
