Abstract

Acute exacerbation of asthma is one of the conditions which makes the parents rush their children to the emergency room. Many a times it occurs either due to non-compliance with treatment but sometimes it may be the first episode. All asthmatics should have a written action plan for home management. This article deals with the management of acute episode once the child presents in the emergency department.
