Abstract

A maintenance equipment spare parts inventory system (MESPIS) is considered. Its goal is to report when spare parts must be reordered, based on their stock balance being too low. The estimated lead-time (expected arrival date) of the spare part is considered, and a template-datum that helps the user to compute the arrival date is introduced. For each part in the database those pieces of equipment are identified where the part is used.
