Abstract

An electrospray ionization (ESI) source was set up and put into operation to create intense keV biomolecular ion beams for collision experiments involving energetic electrons or synchrotron radiation. An overview over the newly built source as well as results of first performance tests will be presented. In order to increase the transmission of ions through the source a RF ion funnel was constructed and implemented.
