This study aimed to product mathematical modeling task in Senior High School. It used development research method which consist of three stages that are analysis, design, and evaluation. In the analysis step, student analysis, curriculum and mathematical modeling were carried out. In the second step, design and product were implemented (Hypothetical Learning Trajectory). Then the final stage used a formative evaluation design consisting of self-evaluation, one-to-one, expert review, small group, and field tests. The success criteria of this study were obtained in the form of Local Instruction Theory for School Mathematical Modeling which was valid from experts review and one-to-one and small group and practical for students from students opinion. The data were collected and analyzed using descriptive analysis method as follows: (1) Walkthrough by Experts. They comment on the prototype in term of content and competencies of students. Then, (2) analyzing the results of the study in one-to-one and small group activities to gain practicality from students opinion; and (3) explaining the results of the field test to learn potential effect. Based on the validation, practicality evaluation, and try-out, We concluded that the designed mathematical modeling task for mathematical learning in Senior High School was valid, practical and usesful.
