Abstract

In clinical trials, it was shown that the combination of a parasympathicomimetic with a sympathicomimetic may provoke angle closure glaucoma. No angle closure derives from simultaneous inhibition of the parasympathicus by cyclopentolate and of the sympathicus by thymoxamine, as well as from sole stimulation of the sympathicus or parasympathicus respectively.
