Abstract

The present case report illustrates the clinical applicability of the proximal isovelocity surface area (PISA) method in identifying, locating and assessing paravalvular prosthetic mitral regurgitation by transthoracic echocardiography. © 2009 Arques et al; licensee BioMed Central Ltd.
