Abstract

Fenomena pengabdian masyarakat yang semakin meningkat menarik perhatian kalangan muda salah satunya mahasiswa. Kondisi di lokasi pengabdian dapat memulculkan perilaku fear of missing out dan joy of missing out (JoMO). The increasing phenomenon of community service is attracting the attention of young people, one of whom is students. Conditions at the service location can give rise to fear of missing out and joy of missing out (JoMO) behavior. Because it is very rare to find students who are able to enjoy their time away from an internet connection (JoMO), this research is an interesting topic. This research aims to identify the relationship between self-compassion and joy of missing out (JoMO) in students while participating in 3T regional community service. The research design used in this study was 109 students with a sampling technique using purposive sampling with the characteristics of having participated in or currently participating in community service in the 3T area in 2024. The research instrument used was the self-compassion scale (SCS) which had been adapted and tested on student subjects and the joy of missing out scale (JoMOS). The data analysis used is Pearson correlation analysis or Product Moment correlation with a correlation value of r = -0.151 and a significance level of p = 0.117 (p > 0.05) which means Ha is accepted and Ho is accepted. This shows that there is no relationship between self-compassion and the joy of missing out in students while participating in 3T regional community service.
