Proactive socio-technical system as an unemployment solution in West Java

Abstract

The objective of this study is to make digital platform design as the innovative solution to overcome an unemployment problem in West Java. West java has been in the highest position of unemployment in Indonesia. It has been caused not only by social but also by cultural matter. Moreover, West Java has become the favorite destination for migrants from other provinces to seek for jobs and to go to study. This study used the method of a socio-technical system analysis by combining social and technical aspects as the basic analysis to solve this problem. The steps of this analysis done in this study were by documental observation and data statistical process. The result of this study will be the digital platform designs that are web and mobile named as UDUNAN. This platform will be a community from various groups in which concern about solving the problem of unemployment through online forums, workshops, and entrepreneurial training and languages especially English and Japanese for free.
