The measured choice: the promise of electronic resource management tools

Abstract

Choosing the most appropriate electronic resource management (ERM) system for any library can be an involved and complicated process. Evaluating library needs and processes is one way librarians can develop criteria for making the successful choice for their organization.This chapter provides librarians with some considerations to ponder and a selection criteria matrix which can be utilized when making the choice of which ERM will work best for their organization.
