Impact of Long-Term Antibiotic Use for Acne on Bacterial Ecology and Health Outcomes: A Review of Observational Studies

Abstract

Acne is among the most common cutaneous disorder affecting most individuals by the time they reach adulthood. Management of acne can be quite a challenge and includes medications with significant side effects. We discuss the potential side effects of long-term antibiotic use.
