Fighting and Learning in the Great War: Four Lessons in Coalition Warfare

Abstract

This article commemorates the centennial of the First World War by highlighting some lessons for effective coalition warfare. By building relationships, planning cooperative institutions, learning from each other, and furthering influence, US leaders and policymakers can more effectively collaborate with America's international partners.
