Abstract
Introduction: A Community Health Center (Puskesmas), as one of the healthcare services, must meet good environmental health requirements, starting from aspects such as location, exterior buildings, interior structures, and so on. Several key reasons why environmental inspections in Community Health Centers are crucial include the prevention of communicable diseases, better service quality, compliance with regulatory standards, the safety of medical staff, a sustainable environment, and the enhancement of the center's credibility. Objective: Analyzing the overview of environmental health sanitation inspection at Gading Community Health Center (Puskesmas) in Surabaya City in 2023. Method: It was a type of qualitative research that produced analysis in the form of a depiction or description. The activity took place at the Gading Health Center, Surabaya City, on December 20, 2023. Environmental sanitation inspection at the Gading Health Center was utilized with an instrument in the form of a form containing components related to environmental sanitation requirements in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 43 of 2019 Regarding Community Health Centers and the Regulation of the Minister of Health Number 2 of 2023. This research was conducted at the Gading Health Center, Surabaya City. Form filling was done through observation. In addition to the observation method, the assessment of environmental sanitation inspection at this health center was also conducted through the interview method. Interviews were conducted with 2 Administrative Officers (TU) of the Gading Health Center, Surabaya City. Result: Based on the results of the environmental health inspection activities at Gading Community Health Center (Puskesmas) in Surabaya City, which utilized four aspects: exterior building, interior building and materials, facilities and sanitation, as well as cleanliness and order management, the final score percentage obtained was 97.6%. Conclusion: The environmental sanitation at Gading Community Health Center was considered to have met the requirements according to the Indonesian Ministry of Health Regulation Number 43 of 2019, as the score obtained was > 70%.
