Abstract

The article focuses on the theses of new developmentalism presented at a meeting among economists on May 24-25, 2010 in São Paulo, Brazil. It is inferred that the meeting was part of the Financial Governance and New Developmentalism project sponsored by the Ford Foundation. A list of subscribers to the theses of new developmentalism is provided which include Alice Amsden, Werner Baer and Fred Block.
