Abstract
Workload is a challenging factor that is often faced by organizations or companies in the process of achieving the desired targets. Workload is a challenge for companies because workload will have a major effect on employee performance. If the company cannot identify the workload on employees properly, it will cause uneven distribution of work. The phenomena that will often appear are overload which causes employees to experience physical and mental fatigue or the phenomenon of underload which causes employees to often have a lot of free time in working hours and results in inefficiency in work. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the workload using the Full Time Equivalent (FTE) method to determine how much workload is ideal for employees to receive. This workload analysis will be conducted in the Laboratory Department of PT X. In the Laboratory department there is an unequal distribution of work. The positions of Vice President Laboratory, Senior Manager Laboratory, and Strength Test Technician are overloaded. For positions that fit occurs in the position of Laboratory Supervisor and Consolidation Technician. For positions that are underloaded occur in the positions of Data Processing, Sample Handling, Compaction & CBR Technician, Index Properties Technician. The need for implementation and evaluation of the workload measurement and determination system to be useful for future recruitment planning. Keywords: workload, distribution, overload, underload, Full Time Equivalent
