Abstract

Twenty-seven vesico-vaginal fistulae are presented. Cephalopelvic disproportion is shown to play an important part in their causation. Treatment was by vaginal repair in 17 cases, transplantation of the ureters in four, and reconstruction of the anus with closure of the vaginal introitus in one case. Three patients left hospital before their treatment was finished, and the completion of treatment was not seen in two cases.
