Abstract
Currently, it is known that much micro and small enterprises of development can not thrive and remain in the market for more than half a decade. One of the main steps for further clarification of this is to identify what factors motivate the death of such organizations. Therefore, this paper through a case study of what are the factors that lead to the failure of micro and small enterprises in the central region of the RS. The research comprised a sample of 60 projects of this size used the interview method to collect data. As a result we obtained the eleven main mortality factors, so as to permit the conclusion that there is a list of factors identified by this survey with the results obtained by other authors in previous studies, confirming in order to provide greater benefits to achieve better planning for entrepreneurs and public policy development in this sector.
