Aproximaciones críticas sobre las literaturas de las fronteras

Abstract

En este ensayo se revisa la bibliografía que comprende los textos considerados dentro del discurso teórico-critico referente a "la frontera" en las letras chicanas, pues es a partir del discurso de esta crítica que la noción de frontera se torna popular. No se tomaron en cuenta, por lo mismo, la gran cantidad de escritos creativos en los cuales se elabora sobre la frontera geográfica. Tampoco se revisaron los ensayos o la creación de otras manifestaciones culturales latinoamericanas ni de otras minorías étnicas que tienen tal noción. En la revisión referente a la frontera norte mexicana se dejaron fuera algunos artículos, prólogos y reflexiones por los mismos motivos. ABSTRACT This paper examines the bibliography of texts considered within a theoretical-critical discourse that refer to "the border" in terms of Chicano literature, since it is from the discourse of this critique that the notion of border becomes popular. The greater body of creative writing that refers to the geographical border was not taken into account. Neither were those essays and creations from other cultural manifestations of Latinamerica or other ethnic minorities that hold the same notion. For the same reason, some papers, prefaces, and thoughts referring to the northern Mexican border were left out.
