Abstract

, Two new quassinoid glycosides, shinjuglycosides E and F, were isolated from the root bark of Ailanthus altissima Swingle And their structures were established to be 2-0-(ß-D-glucopyranosyl)-2a, 1 la,12a-trihydroxypicrasane-l,16-dione and 2-0-(ß-D-glucopyranosyl)-2α,12ß-dihydroxy-picrasane-1,11,16-trione, respectively. © 1987, The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan.
