The article focuses on a survey by the healthcare analytics firm AllazoHealth as of September 2014 on medication adherence intervention programs of managed care organizations (MCOs) in the U.S. The survey reveals that intervention programs of MCOs are aimed at patients suffering from cardiovascular diseases, focusing specifically on hypertension and diabetes, and discusses types of interventions and their effectiveness.
