Abstract
The author talks to Mike Sporton, the man coordinating the Foresight Vehicle program. and gets a vision of the British automotive industry's future. Sporton reportedly seed a steady emergence of new products, but the formal timescale provides until 2004 for developers to demonstrate that their technology works so manufacturers can start designing it into vehicles. He feels that Foresight concepts will be available in top of the range vehicles by 2010 and in general use by 2020.
