Abstract

user has its own unique signature that is mainly used for purposes such as personal identification and verification of certain documents or legal transactions. But for the same offline signature verification is essential. Currently we have signature verification is inefficient and time-consuming for a large number of documents. To overcome the drawbacks to Signature-based verification, we have seen a growth in online biometric personal verification such as fingerprints, eye scan etc. This paper aims to provide general understanding of signatures, approaches and applications of signature verifications.
