Abstract

With a new tailor in Tom Ford and a new, super luxury fabric from Taylor & Lodge, the James Bond dinner suit in Quantum of Solace took the 007 wardrobe to another level, and helped the filmmakers EON bring a fresh look and feel to the Bond franchise, inspired by the very first Bond films of the 1960s. Jonathan Dyson tells the remarkable story of the concept, design and fabric that has allowed the most enduring film character of all time to remain a cut above the rest.
