Abstract

Plasma immunoreactive β-melanocyte stimulating hormone (β-MSH) concentrations were greatly increased in patients with chronic renal failure. There was no correlation between the severity of the renal failure or the degree of pigmentation and the plasma β-MSH levels. © 1975, British Medical Journal Publishing Group. All rights reserved.
