Abstract

Quevedo's misogyny should be discussed in the context of poetic genres and its conventions. The negative female models depend on the different perspectives of women in some areas of Quevedo's poetry. It corresponds to the sphere of satirical burlesque poetry. In other different genres (moral, religious, circumstantial, love poetry), we find more positive models and a lack of misogynist attitude.
