Stability Analysis of Dump Slope: Taking Zijinshan Open-Pit Mine as an Example

Abstract

This paper mainly analyzes the stability of the waste dump of Zijinshan open-pit mine. ANSYS software was used to establish the numerical model of the slope of the waste dump according to the geological report and the real geographic conditions. The displacement, stress, and plastic deformation of the waste dump in X and Y directions under different number of overburden layers and different strength reduction factor were obtained, so as to obtain the safety factor of the slope stability of the waste dump and give waste dump operation measures.
